The Comedy King made us laugh, and he stayed in the industry for almost 70 years I think. In those 70 years, he made an estimation of 300 films and he was also known for singing, and doing stage plays. He is a remarkable man who made every Filipino put smiles in their faces. Every Filipino salutes him and prayed for his recovery but nothing happened. His Family unites just for their father.
Dolphy just died last July 10, 2012. He was buried last July 15 in the Heritage Park in Taguig. Millions of fans queued just to see their idol -- not being alive, but in the casket. For their fans, it's hard to see the King of Comedy is in the casket.
In the Social Networking Sites, especially Twitter, many of Filipino Twitter users salutes Dolphy for the laughter he gave to our fellow Filipinos. The hashtag that I remember that trended worldwide and nationwide is #RIPDolphy.
A very sad happening here in the Philippines. We salute you, the King of Comedy.
