Band: Franz Ferdinand

So I discovered this band during the time I wasn't in this blog for ages. I had seen people on Twitter who made their latest album as their Twitter icon which intrigued me because during those times, I wasn't a fan of theirs (but now I am) and I always ended up asking myself, "Who is Franz Ferdinand?"

The term "Franz Ferdinand" was actually familiar to me ever since because originally I remembered that we discussed this one in our History Class and during the WWII when there was a guy from Austria-Hungary who had been killed (and I forgot the reason why) and his name was "Archduke Franz Ferdinand" (so maybe they got the name from that).

And one time I saw a photo on Twitter, a picture of Alex Kapranos (their vocalist) and a quote that he said but I couldn't remember the exact words stated on that picture, something stated like "We became closer to our fans—" That time, I never knew that it was him but I found out that his hair looked so vintage and unique.

The first impression when I saw the album Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action was "it was just an advert for cancer prevention". I mean the phrase "Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action" could be so relevant to the issue. Then I became more intrigued about them up to the highest point so yeah I searched them and their songs and I finally realised that they have brilliant songs.

Who are Franz Ferdinand? Not the Archduke guy, but the band. They came from Glasgow, Scotland (so they're Scottish). Their singer as I mentioned is Alex Kapranos (with the guitar also), Nick McCarthy (keyboard, back-up vocalist, lead guitarist), Bob Hardy (bassist), and Paul Thomson (drums). Actually I saw a video on YouTube performing Stand On The Horizon and the rest of the members were doing the  back-up vocals so possible that they could go interchange for the vocals thingy.

So I first heard their song Take Me Out which is 'their most popular song' is it? The beats was just wonderful "I say 'Don't you know?', You say 'You don't know' I say, 'Take Me Out'," It was just amazing. Next I heard No You Girls and the symphony was brilliant. (My classmate even knows this song ok she has a great music taste.)

Other songs I discovered:
- Love Illumination
- Bite Hard
- Stand On The Horizon
- Evil Eye
- Right Action
- Ulysses
- Michael
- Do You Want To

Lol so far but I'll be discovering more songs from them I since I downloaded all of their albums.
