Valentine's Playlist

Valentine's Day is a day where lovers express their love for each other. We see people who are saying "I love you" to each other which makes the celebration lovely. We see are love ones giving Valentine cards maybe just to say "Thank You" or to express what he/she truly feels to the person he/she is giving to. There are also greeting cards and message cards. Some people prefer to use the traditional greeting cards so it will be kept in the future. But there are now new technologies especially on the internet to express what we truly feel. And sometimes we can put background songs on it.

So if you can't think of any song to be put on, here's is the right place to go. Let me allow you to share 20 songs that is correlated to Valentine's Day. 

1. The Bones Of You — Elbow 

Elbow has a poetic style in making their music. Maybe it can be your choice if you want to express your feelings to your love one "poetically". But in the lyrics it's obviously that the singer is really happy when he sees his love one. "And the sickener hits, I could work till I break, But I love the bones of you, that I will never escape."

   2.  One Day Like This — Elbow 

As I said, Elbow makes music poetically. Same meaning with The Bones of You but there's a bit of twist. The singer needs to release his feeling through music after seeing the "spark" of a girl.

     3. To The End — Blur

The Music Video itself obviously shows that the song is about love. Damon Albarn in the video is quite creepy though. 

   4. Tender — Blur

The song talks about the singer reminiscing the moments with his love one and now that they're not together anymore, he needs to get over with it but he just can't.

   5.  There Goes Our Love Again — White Lies 

Obviously the song talks about the singer wanting the girl to answer that he will be loved back. 

"Home is a desperate end

Just trying to pick my feelings undone

  6. Great Expectations — Elbow

The song describes the imagery of how the singer's wedding should be look like with his love one walking down the isle. 

7.  One Way Or Another — Blondie 

If you're only familiar with One Direction's "One Way or Another", seriously you have to research more about good music. This is the original "One Way or Another" where One Direction based it. Obviously the lyrics goes like "One Way or Another, I wanna find you, I wanna get you get you get you get you"

8.  Eve — fiN

This song talks about sex and the tenderness of it. 

9.  No You Girls — Franz Ferdinand

The song starts with "Kiss me, pick your cigarette and kiss me." and it talks about tenderness of love which is legit if you want to seduce your love one more.

10.  Starlight — Muse

The lyrics are so obvious, "Hold you in my arms, I just wanted to hold you in my arms."

11.  Sweet Disposition — The Temper Trap 

Obviously the lyrics is about being happy with her love one. 

12.  I Love You — Woodkid 

The song talks about that the setting at the seashore and she was watching the girl then he got in love. Long-story-short he wants to be noticed by the girl to get any chance. 

13. Beetlebum — Blur 

The song mainly talks about sex in detail. 

14. Lovesick — Peace 

The song talks about the the singer wants to be in love with his love one for the rest of his life. 

15. Oasis — Wonderwall

As one of the britpop icons, Oasis still made a song about love. The term "Wonderwall" is a symbolism, but we have our different analysis what "Wonderwall" means from the song. 

16.  Bliss — Muse 

The term "bliss" means "extreme happiness". Matt Bellamy points here that the bliss is the girl. 

17. The Stops — Elbow 

Based on my research, the song tells that the the singer and his love one are not anymore together. But the singer is having his nostalgic feeling, reminiscing the times that he and his girl were being together, and he concludes by missing the girl so much. It's quite a heartbreak song, but if you want to make up with your former love one, this can be the legit song for you. 

18. R U Lonely — Graham Coxon

As the Blur's lead guitarist, Graham Coxon went solo and this is the first song I discover. It talks about being very depressed and he concluded by asking "Are you Lonely?"

19. Yellow — Coldplay

Obviously it talks about the massive desire for the girl. 

20. I Wish — Graham Coxon 

 The song talks about living with the girl forever. He wishes that he wouldn't be like this or like that so he could be with the girl he love.
